Introduction

Chapter 1 of a thesis is the introduction which makes the foundation of your paper. The chapter contains the background information of main research themes ; the problem statement; research objective/ questions/ hypotheses; significance of the study and expected limitations.

Specific  Objectives

By the end the module, you should be able to:

  1. Describe various sources of the research literature,
  2. Critique a theoretical review in literature,
  3. Explain various sections of an empirical review,
  4. Discuss different variables in a conceptual framework.

Expected Outcomes

By the end of the end of the session, you should be able to draft chapter 2 (reviewing related literature) of the thesis.

Mode of Delivery: Online and/or face to face. Open to choice of learner

Pre-requisite: None

Target Learners: Masters or Doctoral candidates in social sciences.

Duration: 3 Hours
