Introduction
The Module consists of six lessons, arranged in a coherent manner and each lesson discusses a specific research concept in relation to thesis writing. The lessons provide a general introduction to research and basic research principles; discuss the stages involved in the research process; discuss relevant psychological orientation an individual requires before beginning the research journey; and relevant ethical issues necessary in social science research with academic writing skills and citation techniques necessary in thesis writing.
Specific Objectives
By the end the module, you should be able to:
- Describe the research process,
- Identify relevant psycho-social skills for the research journey,
- Describe applicable academic writing skills in social science,
- Explain various citation techniques for social sciences.
Expected Outcomes
By the end of the end of the session, you should be able to select the most suitable research paradigm, write intext and list of academic references.
