Introduction
Reviewing related literature makes the foundation of your academic writing. In this module, we therefore learn how to get relevant theories, models and frameworks that address the selected research themes. In addition, we also learn various strategies for getting publications with appropriate research findings related to your study concepts. We also put together study concepts in a conceptual framework.
Specific Objectives
By the end the module, you should be able to:
- Describe various sources of the research literature,
- Critique a theoretical review in literature,
- Explain various sections of an empirical review,
- Discuss components of a conceptual framework.
Expected Outcomes
By the end of the end of the session, you should be able to draft chapter 2 (review of related literature) of the thesis.
Mode of Delivery: Online and/or face to face. Open to choice of learner
Pre-requisite: None
Target Learners: Masters or Doctoral candidates in social sciences.
